The series begins with an illuminating tour of Union Square’s Green Market. This is a terrific introduction to the meanings and misconceptions often associated with the words “organic”, “natural”, or “conventional” when labeling food. I lead you through a tent city-like assembly of kiosks displaying many types of fresh produce, meats, fish, baked goods, and more.
My tour includes direct conversations with some of the operator/owners of the farms, plus mixes up the sessions with some exotic food samplings.
